It shows the community built online is different from the one of real world. One's identity can be also differently shaped online as the relationships can be controlled and managed in different ways.
It is YOU who is in charge of everything you are doing online. They are not anonymous although they look like. They are remained as traces of your behaviors and selections.
It is interesting that not the internet world but the personal screen itself is in the communal realim. Private laptop or phone are not anymore private.
